# A proposed partnership between sgit.ai and DigitalOcean

**DigitalOcean is the shortest path from "I want to try vaults" to a running server.** Spaces is S3-compatible object storage with a built-in CDN, App Platform runs a container, and the DigitalOcean Marketplace explicitly invites open-source projects as 1-Click Apps. For the developers and small teams DigitalOcean serves, a one-click vault server is exactly the right size.

**Nothing on this page is confidential, and there has been no conversation yet.** Every statement about DigitalOcean comes from its own public pages, linked. Every statement about sgit points at the [deployment documentation](../deploy/index.md), a published vault or a page on this site. sgit is Apache-2.0, so DigitalOcean does not need our permission to run it or to build on it. ## How vaults map onto DigitalOcean

## Where we are with DigitalOcean today

We have not deployed on DigitalOcean yet. It is on this list because it is the platform where a developer is most likely to try something like sgit on a Saturday afternoon, and a 1-Click App is the fastest way to let them.

3. An introduction through [DigitalOcean Startups](https://www.digitalocean.com/startups) or [DigitalOcean Partners](https://www.digitalocean.com/partners).
